Backend

Traffic-Guard

An asynchronous API traffic logging system that captures the full HTTP request/response flow (headers, body, duration, status) with a servlet filter and sends it to Kafka asynchronously with a correlation ID, so logging does not affect API response time. A Kafka consumer indexes events into Elasticsearch in batches, making traffic searchable and analyzable in Kibana. Configuration is centralized with Spring Cloud Config Server and the whole infrastructure is isolated with Docker Compose.

Problem

Demonstrates an approach to monitoring and logging high-volume HTTP traffic.
